Part of our new project for ISG Fit-Out we have began the enabling works. The pile matt was designed to have no recycled materials which meant using primary aggregates. Ordinarily we would not use primaries due to the cost but it was agreed to keep to the spec at all times.

The softs spots and obstructions were removed below the matt area (12m x 12m) approx and then the area was built up in 150mm layers compacting with a 120 roller as we went.

The finish had to be dead flat and the guys made a terrific job on the finish.

Externals well underway with drainage installed, granite paving and dutch clay blocks.
